Tonight I make my last stand, an appearance on the Laura Leishman Project on Le Mouv radio. I’ll be performing a 3 song acoustic set. I’ve never done an acoustic set so it should be a lot of fun. Tune in if you can! If not I’ll try to figure out how to get it up here later. No guarantees though. ;)
Me? I been hard at work in the studio mixing a few new bits and bobs for the forthcoming “Future Gospel Sound” mixtape. All the tracks are now done, just need to make the actual mix. I’m very excited to be getting some more music out to you, it’ll be available here for free sometime in February (I imagine).
Also been booking myself some more shows, waiting on final confirmations from a few folks, and I’ll put the dates up here.
The “Let The Children Techno” compilation comes out in just a little over 2 weeks. My track, “Is That Your Girl?” (featured on said comp, in case you weren’t aware) is starting to get a little bit of love… Laurent Garnier played it on Radio 1 the other night. Or so I’ve heard. And you can listen to a nice live mix from Brodinski which features my track too:
Viv and I arrived at the club around 12:30 or so, Blu Jemz was rocking the nice warm up set. People started piling in around 1 AM. Caught up with a few friends, bought some drinks, admired the view (Le Bain is on the 18th floor of the Standard Hotel), got ready. Around 2:15 or so it was time to go on.
The crowd was great. Lots of energy, lots of smiles, lots of grinding out on the floor. There was this crazy “maneater” vibe in the room, all the women were eying the men like lions stalking antelope. One friend of mine, one of the nicest, quietest, shyest guys you’ll ever meet somehow ended up back in a hotel room with 2 of them! He credited my performance for setting the mood in the club… :)
Finished up the set with “Is That Your Girl?” and it really went off. I think Telli forgot his verse halfway through but it didn’t matter. Sh-t was fun as hell, Jemz was working the delays and EQs the whole time. It was a great time! The adrenaline rush that followed was magnificent, but let me tell you, when I got home and it finally wore off I crashed HARD!

Gonna be playing some new music and yukkin’ it up with James about this and that. I should be on sometime during the first hour. I believe Terry from Hussle Club is gonna be on in the 2nd hour.

Was in the studio yesterday evening, recording another new track, “Never Can Say Goodbye” for the FUTURE GOSPEL SOUND mixtape… Heading back in Thursday to record a few more exclusives. Should be great, more details to follow…
